Is that why he doesn't do anything?

When your introducing bills for the average American it's hard to get things done . Lets pull up bills Bernie has introduced . Lets talk about why the MOST POPULAR politician in America can't get his bills moved on in congress . You would think someone the majority of America supports would have some type of influence in politics , but no . Since he doesn't put corporations to the front his shyt can't get tractions.

I think at one point Obama missed 80-90 percent of the vote in a couple months . He was a senator for 3 years .

We gotta start talking reality . Y'all talking about taking down Trump with Hillary knock offs . If it's not Bernie it has to be someone drastically different from all these popular democrats .

I personally believe if he loses , he will lose to a republican . IF BERNIE DOESNT RUN

Well put. OP is all about "incrementalism" but the increments have been moving damned slow as of late, even before Trump. Something different is needed; and if it isn't Bernie, it needs to be someone younger with the same ideals.
Why he so much on Clinton's snatch is still quite odd to me

Incrementalism is a terrible political strategy that has been a complete disaster for the American people. Obamacare is a perfect example. Dems argued that it was a step in the right direction, but as we are seeing now, the republicans are defunding it and trying to strip it of its most important components (I.e. Covering pre existing conditions). One step ahead usually results in two steps back with the dems.

FDR, arguably the most popular politician in American history, ranmed through most of our most influential social policies today. He didn't give a rats ass about the opposing party.

The dems need to go back to that style of governing. Unfortunately, the corporations have both sides in their back pocket.

A higher or lower number below doesn’t necessarily make this legislator any better or worse, or more or less effective, than other Members of Congress. We present these statistics for you to understand the quantitative aspects of Sanders’s legislative career and make your own judgements based on what activities you think are important.

Keep in mind that there are many important aspects of being a legislator besides what can be measured, such as constituent services and performing oversight of the executive branch, which aren’t reflected here.

Id rather had someone who doesnt bootlick :manny:

Aside from Medicaid expansion, one of the most popular aspects of Obamacare (which the GOP likes but won't say out loud) is the community health center funding and expansion that occurred with the ACA... Bernie was very instrumental in that.

Bernie Sanders was the roll call amendment king from 1995 to 2007

Amendment king tho...

But the sparse number of bills isn’t surprising. Volden and Vanderbilt University’s Alan Wiseman assess the legislative effectiveness of House members by comparing their records to a benchmark. According to this analysis, Sanders has either met or exceeded expectations during his tenure in the House (bold indicates Republican Congresses)

...
Lawmakers who belong to the party in control are five times more likely to have their bills go anywhere than minority party members, according to Volden. So Sanders’ legislative approach may seem like fixating on small potatoes, but for an independent who caucuses with the minority party, it’s a smart strategy.

"He could have either resigned himself to that fate, changed the nature of his legislation and coalition-building strategy, or offered amendments on the floor," Volden said. "He chose the third of these paths, making him more influential in shaping policy than if he had taken the first path. Why he did not take the second path is an open question — likely linked to his ideological views."

Is that your excuse for no policy wins?
