Hell, most people in general, not just black folks. The problem in the U.S. is that we see no benefit from the taxes we pay, thats why everyone is so fukking pissed when politicians talk about increasing taxes. Bernie is talking about increasing taxes for wealthy people so that we can get free healthcare, college, etc. Actual benefits that you can tangibly take advantage of. He also wants to improve our crumbling infrastructure.

That's all well and good, but what we're paying now needs to be redirected into some meaningful stuff too. Sick of my dollars going to bullets to gun our people down in the US, welfare and weapons for Israel and the Gulf states, etc.

Only tangible benefits I see are public libraries and firefighters Roads are shytty so I can't even count them

As it is now all our money goes to the military to fund our imperialist goals. You could cut the defense budget by 20% and pay for everything and we'd still spend more on defense then any other country.

I don't understand why we avoid confronting the Republican led Congress when it's obvious they're the problem.

People used to criticize Obama because he couldn't get legislation through the Republican majority Congress.

People are currently criticizing Bernie Sanders because they doubt his ability to get legislation through this same Republican majority Congress. And actually advocate voting for Hillary because she'll be a better negotiator when the Republicans get on their bully.

We are not addressing the root cause of the problem, which is the majority of Republicans in Congress don't represent our social values and thus don't vote for what's in the best interest of the common good... like spending a gazillion dollars on the defense budget.

We have to start focusing on voting these Republican f*cks out of Congress in November 2016. If they are impeding social progress then why are they in office?

I would love to see what Bernie and a majority Democratic Congress could accomplish
