Wait, one article says "$12 million", then the poster claims "$15 billion".

$12 mil is NOTHING for the American government. And that would be like 25 cents for every Black person in America, so we better not be complaining about someone getting a measly $12 mil. All sorts of programs related to Black people get more funding than that all the time.

Now, $15 billion, we're starting to talk about a little bit of real money right there. Even though reparations-wise it's still a drop in the bucket and wouldn't make much difference in anyone's life. But I'm guessing that number is made-up bullshyt.

Ask how those cheques in the mail have worked out for Native Americans. It's also been done for Native Americans in Canada and in Australia for Aborigines. Their communities are some of the worst shyt holes to this day.

Reparations are completely unrealistic for black people. We would be talking about trillions of dollars. Imagine all the mixed race people with 3% African blood trying to claim the money or the cacs that are going to pretend to be black. It's just not going to happen.

I understand what you're saying but there really wasn't a break in the nexus connecting slavery pre-emancipation and indentured servitude, lack of rights and "slavery by another name" being over charged crimes and labor sentences.

This is a very good read that expounds on the topic of how slavery still existed, in principle and ideology, after emancipation. .
