Even if a few Jews (the Rothschilds) became big lenders (which only happened around the time of Jewish Emancipation) the vast majority of Jews did not control the economic infrastructure of Europe. Moreover, this phenomenon is recent. Have you heard of something called the Pale of Settlement?
