thank god that bernie and warren split the progressive vote

i know that you guys think they would have beaten trump, but they wouldnt have :yeshrug: no fukkin way

Bernie had no chance to win primary but had an opportunity to make sure certain issues became part of eventual winner's platform

When it came down to Biden/Warren even though I think Warren would've been a better president, I definitely agreed that Biden was the safer choice. To me the main thing is to pressure Biden into signing on to some of the better policies that he would never do so on his own (student loan reform, more aggressive enforcement of wall street and more progressive tax policies). Bernie is such a fukking egomaniac he would rather continue to run his little vanity campaign even though every additional day guarantees that Biden and Co., become even more antagonistic to policies coming from his left.

i think it will be far easier to get biden to sign progressive policy, than convince swing voters to work for bernie or warren

which is pretty much what you said i think :yeshrug:

Warren was pretty close to him in terms of policy preferences. His presence in the race guaranteed her eventual demise bc it split the progressive vote. Biden isn't going to sign on to much of the Bernie agenda.

If the issue is splitting the progressive vote, wouldn't the opposite argument also be true? That her presence hurt him?
You initially said he should drop because he was behind her in the polls. Once she fell off and he took the lead should she have dropped then?

Because her voters split among Biden and Bernie. Wouldn't his candidates just go to the other progressive candidate?

Not necessarily. Some Bernie supporters don’t fukk with her at all.

Without Sanders I would’ve voted for her, are there enough people like me who could’ve turned her into a winner?
