Barack Obama wasn't in the Senate to have to make the choice of whether to vote for the war or not.:mindblown:

Touche

But he was in opposition to the war from the start and it's his claim to fame. The thing that put him on the map was his opposition speech in 2002.

Bernie in the Senate voted against it.

Hillary has no such track record.

He wasn't protesting. What the kinda revisionist history nonsense?:what:
He gave a speech saying it would be a mistake but none of that mattersin this context because the person I replied to seems to be under the misconception that Barack Obama actually recorded a "No" vote in the Senate when the Iraq authorization was proposed.

Oh stop.

Fact stands he like Bernie Sanders, not like Hillary Clinton, opposed the war.

You are the one trying to connect Hillary and Obama. I'm calling bullshyt.

There are many ways in which they are dissimilar regardless to how much Hillary is trying to connect herself to Obama this time around to gain the black vote.

I like tons of stuff in that comic book thread. I just happen to shyt on lots of things too. I am opinionated.:smugfavre:

And as I explained in my earlier post...the hero worship of Sanders disgusts me especially because so much of it is intellectually dishonest as fukk. I felt the same way about the Obama lovefest too. Becoming fanboys of politicians is not a good look and it is even worse in this case because people are riding for Bernie hard as fukk but obviously don't know shyt about the guy as evidenced by the fact that most of them didn't even know he voted for the Clinton Crime Bill and all go :dwillhuh: at the mention of Sierra Blanca.
So you support someone who is farther away from your policy views over someone who is closer to your policy views just because the latter has stans you find annoying?

People who reduce voting down to stan wars make me sad. . ..

Why are people bothered so much by someone's support of a candidate. Who care?

Question should be if the candidate supports your vision. That's it.

Obama got more money from Wall Street in 2008 than anyone including the Republicans though. How was he able to be so independent while taking all of that filthy Wall Street money? And then he was able to get re-elected with no one saying shyt about him and his cozy relationships with "special interests" and big money. Why is that?:jbhmm:
This bizarre thought process that Hillary is always so much worse than anyone that has come before is one of the reasons that discussions int his forum suck so bad. Y'all don't even recognize your own hypocrisy.

Lol ok slow down tiger. Read the post. Obama is not independant and is still more independant than Hilary was the point I was making. People were and still are outraged at Obamas connections to special interests so cut it out. Calling me a hypocrite only underlines your own delusions.

You said Hilary has better ties to the Democratic party, and that makes it easier for her to get things done. This is the most tired and nonsensical argument for two reasons, primarily that this was one of the weakest arguments against an Obama presidency. Secondly, the Democratic party is not going to block Sanders plans because their constituients think thats what they really beleive in. No democrat is gonna expose himself by voting against medicare for all. Such nonsense. Should we only elect the deepest washington insiders according to this line of thinking?

You said shes better equipped on foriegn policy and that may be true, but to act like Sanders is some type of trumplike buffoon is disengenious. hilary is a hawk and criticizes obama for his lack of hawkish tendencies. Also, her iraq war vote SHOULD be relevant, you cant sweep that under the rug.

Finally, this pragmatic approaches bullshyt is hilarious. Weve seen literally years of unprecedented obstruction against the centrist Obama in the house and senate. Obama hasnt been able to get the most basic legislation passed and yet Sanders proposals are non starters? Raising the debt ceiling is a nonstarter to republicans. Hilary will likely cut social security and medicare in exchange for some kind of deal. She is more likely to propose cuts than Obama and she will be beholden to the same vitriol. What kind of delusional person do you have to be to think Hilary is gon a hash out fair deals with fukking Paul Ryan?

:jbhmm:

Why Clinton voters say they won’t support Obama

1. They are angry because their candidate lost a close contest.

2. They are angry because their historic opportunity is over.

3. They are angry about rumors that Obama may choose a woman other than Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

4. They are angry that we started to talk about sexism only once Clinton stopped being a threat.

5. They are angry at the media’s repeated denial of sexism, and they are angry at Keith Olbermann.

6. They are mad at Howard Dean.

7. They are mad at Barack Obama.

8. They are mad at Bill Clinton. Um, obviously.

9. They are mad at Mark Penn.

10. They are mad at Hillary Clinton for conceding and not taking their fight on to Denver.

11. They are mad that everyone believes them to be old, white and racist. They are mad at the people they thought were supposed to be progressives for treating them badly.

12. And finally, they are angry because they feel they are held hostage by the party by their reproductive organs.
