Banks should be volunteer outfits, because surely that's what he's saying here. :comeon:

Or maybe because he's not an ideal capitalist and has somewhat of an idealistic socialist view on some things he wants banks to serve communities not just the bottom line. Not realistic though in this system.

Nothing wrong with banks trying to make profit but yes banks should also not be predatory or make lending a discriminatory practice.

But sometimes Bernie stays way too deep on the socialist end that he forgets a lot of Americans still actually LIKE capitalism and free market.

He's right, when banks refuse to lend money out to small-medium sized businesses, minorities and young people in favor of their bottom line it requires us to fundamentally re think the paradigms on which the entire industry operates.

I'm gonna laugh so hard when his supporters finally get into positions of power and conveniently forget all of this bullshyt that he spews.
Everybody isn't greedy I told you this before. If greed conquers you, then you were just corrupt before, but played it off.

Get mad at credit agencies and their guidelines not the lenders.

Also we tried the "give anybody and everybody" a loan concept.....remember?

I am, the paradigms on which the industry as a WHOLE operates are obsolete, its more profitable for them to engage in capital speculation than tradition lending and borrowing. The system is rigged in favor of the rich and wealthy, when rating agencies can rate bundled subprime's as AAA when in reality their junk , that shows you that the rich and powerful operate on an entirely different set of rules than the rest of us.

The function of banking is to bank. "Affordable" plays no role in anything except politics.
For any good or service there is both a supply of it and a demand for it; one has no idea how affordable or unaffordable that good or service is going to be. Moreover, when profits rise, that sends a signal to would-be competitors, which will increase the supply, thus driving prices back down. If this isn't happening, it's a good indicator that the market for that good or service isn't "free" enough, i.e. it's too regulated...

...and yet Mr. Sanders wants to regulate it even more. :deadrose:
