One gimmick that would be dead on arrival if it was even attempted now would be like Rey mysteriou. I think the small lucha style wrestler is harder to get over today then back in the day because even the white guys are doing 720 splashes and suicide dives. I think a bigger lucha based guy with face paint and mask could kill but the small guys are hard to single out
