cord cutting is inevitable because the business model is sort of like Blockbuster's. the difference is the cable company also sells you internet so they'll survive the demise of cable TV. its stuff like Netflix and Hulu that's gonna accelerate cord cutting but the cable companies already have a solution to that, bandwidth caps.Thank you
People don't understand how fukked up it is in the background
With that said cable companies need to stop looking at the current bottom line and look at the future
It they were more friendly with prices and features then there wouldn't be so many cord cutters
Netflix and Hulu are about as good as it'll get to À la carte. i'm willing to bet as more and more people cut the cord the price of Hulu and Netflix will rise because Hulu is made by the content providers and Netflix has to license what they show. the cable companies will probably raise stuff like install fees and bump up the price of internet to compensate.
another thing people don't know is your local TV stations you get over the air fro free get to rape cable companies on fees due to the government letting them charge cable companies per subscriber. if you think about it the cable company has to carry those "free" channels and they have to pay to carry them so that gets passed on to the customer too.
