Thank you
People don't understand how fukked up it is in the background

With that said cable companies need to stop looking at the current bottom line and look at the future

It they were more friendly with prices and features then there wouldn't be so many cord cutters
cord cutting is inevitable because the business model is sort of like Blockbuster's. the difference is the cable company also sells you internet so they'll survive the demise of cable TV. its stuff like Netflix and Hulu that's gonna accelerate cord cutting but the cable companies already have a solution to that, bandwidth caps.

Netflix and Hulu are about as good as it'll get to À la carte. i'm willing to bet as more and more people cut the cord the price of Hulu and Netflix will rise because Hulu is made by the content providers and Netflix has to license what they show. the cable companies will probably raise stuff like install fees and bump up the price of internet to compensate.

another thing people don't know is your local TV stations you get over the air fro free get to rape cable companies on fees due to the government letting them charge cable companies per subscriber. if you think about it the cable company has to carry those "free" channels and they have to pay to carry them so that gets passed on to the customer too.

MLB .... BBC America (doctor who) ... everything else is impulse watching that I can do wothout ....

A' La cart will never work because the content providers dont want it ... Actually it will help and improve TV ... if all those channels we dont want cease to exist then the real channels are forced and can focus on gving us good content or they'll be in the bushes too ...

the channels i may like you might not want and vice versa. a lot of the niche channels people like would disappear and the cost of popular channels like ESPN would be well over $10 a month. If you had to pay $10 a month per channel you'd be getting 5 channels for $50 and you'd still probably have to plug up your antenna and switch over on your TV to watch the local stations.

À la carte would ruin TV. its an idea that sounds good if content providers would be fair about it but they'd lose too much money and they'd make that money up by raising prices on channels people want.

Cable tv companies need to be reasonable with rates there's no reason tv service should be more than $50 a month

And different speeds should come in different price tiers based on speed not bandwidth. And again no real reason to be over $50

congress needs to step in and block bandwidth caps. all these online services use all this bandwidth and cable companies and ISPs limit your bandwidth then many of them don't even provide monitoring tools.

i have a 250GB limit per month on my ISP and if my router didn't log all my bandwidth usage i wouldn't even know if i was using it up or not because my ISP provides no usage tracking.
