I wish comcast would allow a package where they ONLY give me these channels for like $50 or so. hell, thats a deal for them, cuz I pay like $80 for the other 175 channels I don't watch. all the shyt that comes on HBO/Showtime, I'll just download. and I got netflix/amazon prime for other shyt.

its not necessarily Comcast fault. Disney for example has something like ABC Family and ESPN. Comacst might look at its subscribers and say only 15% watch ABC family so we don't need that and Disney will respond with either you take ABC family or we'll raise the price per subscriber for ESPN by double. so Comcast takes ABC Family and ESPN and puts them in the expanded bundle and spreads out the cost.

its the content providers that force you to buy channels you don't want more than the cable company. if paying for channels À la carte ever happened a lot of channels simply wouldn't exist anymore because many people wouldn't buy them or would only buy them seasonally. there's like 5 channels on your list i would buy. the rest i'd throw in the bushes. its people like me that would be the reason À la carte channel buying would destroy TV as we know it.

also is Disney let people buy only ESPN the price you paid for ESPN would be inflated to make up for the lost revenue they sell the other channels for plus the commercials they air on them because the less popular channels would go extinct and if ESPN's price isn't raised that's lost revenue.

would you rather pay $80 for 175 channels of pay $80 for the 20 channels you want. hell i bet ESPN would cost as much as HBO alone.

It they were more friendly with prices and features then there wouldn't be so many cord cutters
