Doug, really?

I was high as fukk eating artisinal pizza one late as fukk when that 90s marathon thing that comes on late night teen nick and I was lol'ing at how bad the writing was for Doug. Sesame Street is written at a higher comprehension level than Doug.

Plus, Doug talks like he is on tons of benzos and opiates while holding his nose.
haha i haven't seen doug in a long time, but i remember it being one of my favorites. he always went on some cool adventures and had a good story to the episode. i can't think of how the writing was. can't believe i forgot to mention pete and pete tho.

Man, there was so many good shows on Nickelodeon that it didn't make sense. But I guess if I had to pick 4 it would be: Pete & Pete, Salute your Shorts, Ren & Stimpy, and Are You Afraid Of The Dark. Just typing in these shows brings back a feeling of nostalgia. Don't get me wrong, there are others but I think those 4 are the best.

I can't choose between animation, that original cartoon block of Rugrats, Doug, and Ren and Stimpy is unmatched, and than you add in Rocko's modern life. I don't think we know how good we had it then. For live action I gotta go with Kenan and Kel. For ensemble I'm torn between Hey Arnold and Salute your Shorts, I guess the slight edge to Hey Arnold because SYS was only 26 episodes. And for game show I gotta go with Double Dare, they're the one that started it all.

Animation:Rugrats until season 3 or 4.
Live Action: Kenan and Kel, although Pete and Pete is a close second.
Best Ensemble Cast: Hey Arnold! I just loved the urban setting and soundtrack.
Best Game Show: Legends of The Hidden Temple

Did anybody ever get pissed that the contestants never could put together that Shrine of the Silver Monkey? How hard can it be? It was only three pieces. :stopitslime:

I remember reading something about how it was rigged so that they would fail. Dont remember the details though.

looking back now both Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell were some talented young guys. their chemistry was :wow:. Kel especially had that "it" factor. Kenan kinda had that "grown man" sense of humor even at a young age that i now can appreciate as a grown man. Rugrats is just plain out genius. i caught an episode a few months back and watched it for nostalgic purposes. its crazy watching it now as an adult. it really makes you long for the days of being "ignorant" to the real world and just having fun and using your imagination

My final 4 is Rugrats, Kenan & Kel, All That, and Guts, but I think Rugrats would win it all
Rugrats
Ren & Stimpy
Pete and Pete
:yeshrug: I hated both Hey Dude and Clarissa so that's a toss up
All That
Hey Arnold
Hidden Temple
Double Dare

Ultimately I liked Ren& Stimpy the best as a kid
