Best and Worst James Bond Movies

never read the books so will just have to take u on your word.

They're good books. Definitely of their time tho because Bond is a tad racist lol. Apparently Ian Fleming had issues with race and misogyny so it comes out in the character but the literary Bond is a tad different from the cinematic Bond. The humor is purely a product of Terrence young and Sean Connery and they made the character just a tad less rough around the edges. So when you see people talking about their love for dalton or Craig a lot of that comes from them being the closest to the character from the books with Craig possibly being the closest minus the overt racism

I need the Roger Moore fans in here to explain to me why you all like dude and his movies. And that's not to be a jerk or start some shyt, but I'm really interested in hearing that point of view because in my mind, he plays Bond like he lucked into the job and for some reason keeps falling upwards in MI6. He's a playboy masquerading as a spy instead of a spy masquerading as a playboy

I love that alot of people don't realize that "Live & Let Die" is nothing but a Blaxploitation movie with Roger Moore. 007 fighting Voodoo priests in the New Orleans and the Mississippi Bayouits funny and fun to watch but in reality i think its the worst 007 movie. The way Yaphet Kotto dies is hilarious...

If I have one criticism about the series as a whole is that they spend a lot of time following trends instead of setting them so a lot of the films are in response to something: Live and Let Die=Shaft, The Man with the Golden Gun=Bruce Lee flicks, Moonraker=Star Wars..License to Kill=every damn 80s action flick and although I love it, Casino Royale is a direct response to Bourne

The '06 Casino Royale was so dope. Has replay value a lot of the other Bond flicks don't.

Yup. I was n the middle of watching it so I didn't want to dump on it lol but you right. Even from a thematic standpoint it's similar to the dark knight. The idea of heroism in the 21st century and how we need certain men to do certain jobs but I'd argue the bond films have always been about that theme since their inception. What it means to be a hero for a certain decade

Erm I think anyone old enough to have been born in the 80s and a fan of movies could easily work out what live and let die was you must know a lot of idiots..
