Best Buy just laid off 5,000 workers and will close more stores - CNN
Biden better hurry up with that stimulus money.
shyts about to get even uglier.
I almost worked there I chose amazon instead
I'm surprised they've lasted this long between Walmart and Amazon.
I still remember working there back in the day, and dudes were bragging about how they put Circuit city out of business
must be the minimum wage hikes causing all these layoffs
Every time I go in I always think they got too many employees
Amount of workers I see hanging around doing nothing
Brick and mortar dead
They been as show room for years. People go in to see the stuff in person that they bought online somewhere else cheaper. Last few times i been in the ones by me it the shelves were damn near empty.
its crazy nobody talks about the housing costs being extreme. Its like are we going to keep boosting pay while housing still increases in cost? Why not get that in check? The min wage increase will be null and void in another decade. Are we gonna then have to aim for 21 dollar minimum wage?
People need wages. You can’t automate everything
i remember hearing in the past they were going to move to a model where manufactures just lease show room space, and even provide their own employees/specialist to work there and talk about the products.
