What’s crazy about this matchup is these fighters don’t take much damage from the other like other trilogies and wars we see.

Both crazy skilled fighters. The cerebral intensity of the matchup I think plays a big part in how good the most likely trilogy is

8-4 is too wide. 7-5 or 6-6 is fine. Happy for Bivol

8-4 is egregious Artur won like 4 straight in the middle, 12 and maybe even another. This was razor thin

thats because Bivol is defensively crazy. I think Biev running a trilogy with any of the other lhw would be career ending run.

Bivol had a PERFECT gameplan adjustment

1. Did not move that much the first 5 rounds so he can conserve his energy
2. Stopped trying to block punches with his guard so it can look like Beterbiev is having an advantage (that's how he was robbed the 1st fight)
3. Made Beterbiev miss more, which tired him out
4. Made Beterbiev gain confidence in the early rounds, then started coming on strong from Round 6 because he can take advantage of Beterbiev's age, knowing that he'll probably tire himself out

Just because we've seen fighters be awarded for aggression and constantly being on the attack even if it wasn't highly effective. Like I said I had Bivol winning.

Yep. I had it the same way but we know these judges see coming forward as "making the fight" and they give extra benefit to that style time and time again, even though their supposed to be the experts that understand the nuances of boxing. They still score these fights like extremely casual fans and that's why we see these weird ass decisions so often. I gotta sit ringside at one of these fights one day and see if its that much different from that perspective than it is when I sit further back or watch at home and how much that influences the judges decisions.
