how close of a shave do you get with this? would it be better than buying just the clippers above?

Personally, once I let my hair grow and start to "wolf out," and hit it with them, my head feels so smooth with no stubble.

Just maintain them and you good. I've own mine for at least 5 years. Pays for itself after 3 shaves.

I actually don't use it often. I just use the outliners but I saw it on sale so I just got it. It does a decent job.

I been using these for over 6 years now. Goat (non professional) clippers, you always want to keep them oiled and clean.

I use a spray every time I use them like this:
