You're better off majoring in whatever interest you regardless of its ranking among majors. In the long run for your sanity it will pay off. There is no worse feeling than being stuck doing a job you dislike simply because it's your best way to get paid and having to pay student loans in said field.

:mjlol: who told you being a teacher was the only option....

Most of the high paying jobs today revolve around big data...

You can literally go anywhere with that degree and make 80k+ starting.

Fiance, Medicine, Entertainment, Law, etc...

I thought u had to get a masters to in big data. Majority of ppl I see with math degrees go into teaching.

Business majors
1) Finance
2) Accounting ( You won’t make much at first but long term it’s stable and lucrative)
3) Managment
4) Risk management and Insurance

That’s all I know. I’m not familiar with the engineering field.

Finance and Risk Management seems interesting. Do you know what major you have to pursue for those?

Brehette, trust me you can talk your way into anything. The main thing employers want to see is if you have experience in using R, Tableu, SAS etc.....

Which I'm sure your school has some type of class or workshop on. To be safe you should still get one, but there's plenty of jobs where you can start with a bachelors.

I know it only took @Jesus a year to get his....

Not to mention there's no such thing a broke math major. You know how many premed students and entry level alegbra college students you can hustle for tutoring, anywhere from $15-50 an hour.

Math, people on wall street want math majors....

If you can do applied math and like doing it, then do it. That's what I regret not doing in undergrad. I'm applying for a masters program in stats right now.
