The Frieza storyline was on another level.

Krillin and Gohan's stealth mission on Namek

Vegeta running around killing EVERYBODY

The Ginyu Force

Goku (and later Piccolo) coming back

Everybody got their chance to put up a decent fight against Frieza...
Vegeta went toe-to-toe with his first form...
Gohan went ham on the second in a fit of rage...
Krillin came through and cut his tail off...
Piccolo had a dope fight against Frieza's second and third forms...
Then Goku showed up at the end.

When he went Super Saiyan

The Cell Saga was cool, and it introduced a lot of great characters (Future Trunks, the Androids, Cell himself), but it also felt like it could have been ended in <20 episodes if the heroes had been on point.
Vegeta letting Cell go perfect and Krillin not getting 18 out of there while he had the chance (Not even saying he had to kill her)...
Goku giving Cell a senzu bean and Gohan not bodying Cell while he had the chance...
Goku taking forever to say his goodbyes before Cell blew up...

Either way, nothing in the Buu saga compares IMO.

I'm going with Cell. Dude was a master level troll that would have me at the shyt he would say. He wasnt a psychopath like Buu or evil overlord like Frieza, all he wanted to do was test his powers and see if he was really perfect like he was created to be. Plus he was the only cat to make Goku QUIT in battle cuz he knew he wasnt strong enough to fukk wit him

To be fair goku stopped training as hard once he saw gohan turn super saiyan in the time chamber. He was more focused on bringing out gohan true power than getting stronger himself. I'm sure if goku trained he would've easily bodied cell.
