Best dissertation writing music?

I'm about to pull a 72 hour strip finishing up a chapter in my dissertation. I don't know what to listen to. What do y'all write to? I like aggressive shyt, but words fukk up my writing process (so rap is out of the question). I need some good aggressive instrumental shyt or something. All genres are welcome though. I like everything except country really.

I wrote my dissertation to the same sort of music, stuff that wouldn't distract me but kept me upbeat. I highly recommend you give jazz a shot. Miles & Coltrane in particular, or Herbie Hancock. It may be a little out there if you're not into it though. Also check out Latin jazz artists like Chucho Valdes & The Afro-Cuban Messengers or Tito Puente.
