2001 Shaq and Kobe is the greatest tandem in NBA history. No version of Jordan/Pippen compares, because Shaq and Kobe were basically the whole Lakers squad. Jordan/Pippen NEEDED Horace Grant and Dennis Rodman to make their cypher complete.
That would be like talking about the 2011-2014 Heat duo of LeBron/Wade but leaving out Chris Bosh. Grant was needed.

Pippen and Jordan played their entire primes together. Kobe wasn't in his prime while Shaq was a Laker. If you pair a 21 year old Shaq with a 21 year old Kobe they win just as many rings as MJ/Pippen if not more.

No version of MJ/Pippen is fukking with 01 Kobe/Shaq and that's with a pre-prime Kobe.

?That's the whole point of them being the greatest duo....elite post play as well as elite perimeter play. They were hard to cover which is why the 2001 Lakers were the team that went 16-1 in the NBA playoffs, something not even the 72-10 Bulls could accomplish

horace grant was awful in the 93 finals, had the bulls lost he would've been traded
I guarantee you a 21 year old magic and kareem win more than a 21 year old shaq and kobe simply because they got along and put winning first.
