Kingston Grill in evanston for Jamaican.

Bill's Drive through in Evanston for Greasy Spoon fare.

Tasty Sub in Rogers Park for Italian Beef.

Tapias Pizza in Rogers Park for Slices and Tacos (the best)

If you are out near Rosemont, Shish Kabob has the best Mediterranean platters.

Eng's Chinese food for Chinese (obviously)

Further south you have OODLES of joints for shyt, all pretty much decent, but I would say hit a Harolds, wait 25-35 minutes, and eat you a 12pc with Mild Sauce on everything.

I`m from ATL so eating Soul Food outside of the South is a waste of time to me lol. Is Pizza the only thing Chicago is known for?

Yeah, I think deep dish pizza and hot dogs (they have sausage with beef) are a Chicago thing.

I am also from the South (and cook soul food myself) and I surprisingly enjoyed Pearl's. Good cat fish, fried chicken, greens, corn bread, and mac and cheese. The cobbler wasn't the best, but I enjoyed everything else. It's a family style restaurant.

Any Crazy Hot Dog spots? Or are they pretty normal? When I say Crazy I`m referring to innovative/Unique, where they think outside the box in regard to flavor combos and ingredients.

Idk about crazy hot dog spots. I just know that it is a Chicago thing.

Not sure what you are into, but when I went to GEB (Graham Eliot Bistro) they had unique menu items as it relates to fine dining. However, the menu changes so I'm not sure what's on it now.

You should have gone to taste this past weekend. They had unique things such as gator and rabbit sausage and stuff.

When I first got to Atlanta, I went to this producers networking/competition thing and I saw a Harold's/Bar hybrid:dahell: I didn't even know Harold's was outside of Chicago.

As far as spots to eat in the Chi, it's like infinity good spots. I suggest you check out Mariano's. It's not really a restaurant, it's a grocery store, but it has a wine bar, sushi, bar, juice bar,etc... Man that shyt is so on point:wow: Everything is fresh. You can buy shyt and have them cook it for you. They seriously need to open one up in Atlanta. I know they got a few at the crib, but the one I always go to is downtown. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I wish Jew Town was still popping:mjcry: Visitors always love that shyt.

I`m trying to hit up spots that I can't get something like it elsewhere, if that makes sense. It seems Hot Dogs and Pizza are the only real "Chicago" exclusive type of spots.

For HAROLD'S WORLD FAMOUS CHICKEN go to 636 S. Wabash
data=RfCSdfNZ0LFPrHSm0ublXdzhdrDFhtmHhN1u-gM,FcPv46Mkluj8PC36nxGuQGQuHoS2cLIIPowJ7JCt7Km3OqB806JLrMtNMv_keJHPd1oP8RL_btEoz9y1N5H9kZGlrGgpLp8M4KztN8ykMoxPwm63GbCK6169ea3h7wxX0flE

Safe area. It's (south downtown) but not yet a "neighborhood" still skyscrapers, cops, and business-orientated. There's 3-university college dorm right on Congress and State. If you're with the shyts, park, eat your Harolds, and sip a tall boy with the college kids. :mjpls:

Then anywhere up north. My PERSONAL FAV (Tedino's Pizza; Lake Shore Drive FOSTER exit), hit up EVANSTON for some REAL classic (:mjpls:) grub. Do your research on using like WGN.com CLTV.com's FOOD SECTIONS. You dont HAVE to be in the middle of dumb shyt to enjoy Chicago. :ld:
