Best game of Assassins Creed series?

i picked up Black Flag during the Steam summer sale.
it's the only one i own...have not played it yet.

A few months ago I bought the first 3. I beat AC1 and AC2 back to back but got kind of tired after I started Brotherhood. Based on what you guys are saying here I guess I should finish it up. Do you guys do all the side stuff that there is or just the main story? For AC2 I got all the glyphs but that's about it. Thinking about skipping them when I get back to playing Brotherhood again.

You might as well wait until Unity comes out(if you have next gen) The story is so convoluted that you won't understand it by Brotherhood. Black Flag said fukk it and didn't even bother. If you really want to play something, 2 in the best bet.

1 game.... i'm going with brotherhood...

wrecking with 10-15 dudes after you, then calling in your goons and they jump in out of nowhere

you might want to wait on that new one tho... if you got a next gen system

My favourite AC game is AC3 as I really related to Connor.

However to start you must play the first AC to fully get the story and I love the first AC game and Altair is a amazing protagonist

If you are just starting you only need to play two games.

AC2:BrotherHood
and
AC4: Black Flag

Those two are the standard bearers of the series. Brotherhood because it expanded AC2 and Black Flag because it was what AC3 should have been.

But if you are a die hard...play them all. AC1-AC4. I enjoyed the entire series and have played every single one of them. Or you can wait for the series reboot...AC- Unity in October....

Brotherhood is the most fun, but AC2 in terms of the story is far and away the best and most important. If you are a story buff then don't skip any of them. But AC2 imo has the best of everything.

Rome is cool, but the feel between Venice and Florence is great to see not to mention the set pieces and AC2 has by FAR the best side puzzles.

2 is awesome but i haven't played brotherhood, the first nor black flag. Revelations is ok but 3 had to many bugs and glitches for me to finish.

I have AC1-4. I finished 1 and 2. halfway thru part 3, and barely started part 4 on the PS4.

of those, I had the most fun with 2. however, part 4 was very piff in the limited time I played it as well, so I gotta get back to that one and beat it as well. something about part 3 that rubbed me the wrong way i couldn't put my finger on.

I'll never understand the hate Revelations got brehs.. Storyline was dope.. multiplayer was improved.. SP missions were dope.. fighting mechanics were the best out the Ezio Trilogy. You get to play a bunch of missions as Altier post AC1.. you get to see everything that became of him and his family.. this game did a fantastic job bringing closure to both Altier and Ezio's story and you finally get to see and understand the connection between the two..

Also I forgot to mention.. Constantinople was a beautiful and amazing city..

Do not skip this one...

AC4 is the longest game ive played in years... it seems like since zelda...

i even checked the site how long to beat... and its 20 hours just to beat the main story... thats more than double games like infamous... and even 5 hours more than games like last ofus...

and for anyone that played it i dont even need to go in on how many extras there are...

really underrated imo... it just sucks they couldnt put more emotional resonance in the story.

After AC 4 and Freedom Cry late last year, I have been completely exhausted from AC that I didn't even bother to play Liberation HD. I'll probably play it right before AC Unity comes out.

The only one I would skip would be the first AC because of the massive repetition. It's a good game but pales in comparison to the other chapters.

As for Revelations...that's still a very good game but felt more like a DLC along the lines of Ballad of Gay Tony or Undead Nightmare. Revelations had the ziplines though . I wish they would bring that back along with the Assassin Tombs(AC Revelations was the last game with them)
