It's been mentioned already but your best bet is to go to your local range and get some practice with different pistols to see which ones fit YOU best. Keep in mind what you are looking for. Stopping power, concealability, weight, capacity etc. when you do make your choice I highly recommend taking a safety course especially if you are not familiar with firearms.

For some reason, i can't trust these. Never shot or owned one, but I get the vibe these are the Kia's of gun brands.

Their definitely on the lower end of things but its better than a hi-point or a jimenez

This discussion can go on forever. The best handgun is the one that you shoot the best and feels comfortable...as far as concealed carry, the best handgun is one that you shoot the best, feels comfortable, and doesn't print that much.

Personally I like the snappiest of a glock 23, but I carry a Desert Eagle 1911 (.45 ACP).

edit to add: I've shot a lot of gun so I'd be more then willing to answer questions.

So what's the real verdict on this S&W Sigma and the Ruger P95?

I'm looking into those.

After that, I want that Raging Judge. :whew:

If you're considering getting a Sigma I'd just poony up and get a M&P in whatever caliber and size you like.

See that is why i got rid of my G23(.40 cal). I didn't like the snappy recoil on it. The G19 (9mm) was better for follow up shot placement. My Groupings with the G23 were awful. :to:

I went and got a Ruger SP101 .357 revolver too. It is heavy though so i don't conceal carry it too much.

Yeah you're right, since the round has some pressure behind it, It's really snappy. Let my mom shoot my glock 23 and she damn near broke her wrist, she wasn't expecting it to be like it was. My grouping was pretty good with my G23 and it had no modifications done to it. Ill post a picture of a 4-5 shot group at 21 yards. Also ammunition with the .40 S&W round is important or you'll get "flyers". Now my group was pretty good but thats because i shot the gun....a lot i would burn through at least 150-250 rounds per range visit and that was like twice a week.

Eta: 9mm is differently best for follow up shots and i round say if i only had one gun and my skills weren't that great it would be the gun i carry. No point in getting a .380 over 9mm at all.

I'm surprised no one has asked about carrying around a desert eagle like people do in the movies. Haha

I saw I believe a sig P250 9mm at the gun store last time I went for under $500 if u paid cash. my bank was right across the street. I was so tempted to cop it, but my old lady would be ready to have a fit if I show up with another gun.
