No.

Mazda interior LOOKS high end but it falls apart quick, sis got a 3 and the dash already bubbles and trim glue is leaking thru under direct sunlight.

What year?

I'm really thinking about selling my Cadillac ATS, picking up one of these and going the leasing route for any future luxury cars I like.

I have a 40+ min drive to work now and I need a joint with great mpg. Also this damn ATS been giving me issues. I still love the Caddy brand and the ATS model but I should have let them iron out all issues and not got the 1st model year car.
What issues are you having?

Like what?
Not to mention you comparing used and new. There's is no NEW car under $25k touching it. Maybe the A3 but don't think it's under 25.
Here are some that are under 20K. In my opinion, they are nice.

:lupe:

Yea, what year? I'd hate to believe Car & Driver got those two wrong for two years straight. Also they just did a total redesign back in 2014 I think so I'm hoping hers is pre-update.

Anything in particular you dont care for? exterior styling?.
I may sound ignorant but I never really cared for any of the Mazda vehicles unless it was pre-2000's. there was always a [imo] better alternative elsewhere, in other car brands with the same features/price [imo].
I've known a handful amount of people that have owned Mazda's and they've all had problems with them, I've never owned one personally, so I can't really say but I will say that at the garage I used to work at years ago, we saw our share of Mazda's coming in for random problems. :manny:
they really don't retain their value either. you can go on CL or Autotrader right now and find Mazda's with a few years on them with low miles for damn near peanuts. I still agree with you with this having the best interior under $30k though, I was surprised when I saw the pics.

2012 the gen before this one, really liked the car but that issue caught me off guard as it only had ~40k miles and found out onlinethe issue was not uncommon with high/low temperature areas

All good points and I'm interested to see how they progress since they have now totally severed their ties with Ford. No more platform or parts sharing with the blue opal. So there may be a stark difference with the 2014/2015 and up models since these will be the first cars totally developed by Mazda.

This might be the issue but we'll see, when we bought the '12 I was surprised it was still made in Japan so I was not expecting quality control issues but later found out those 3s are built on the same platform as the Focus

true. if they play their cards right they may have what it takes to compete with Honda, Nissan and Toyota.

I'd say it's about time they had a revival. seems like since Ford scaled back it's involvement with the hundreds of car brands they once owned , they've been producing quality products (I've always been a Ford stan so I'm biased, but even I've seen a major difference). Mazda can do the same with the correct direction. I think Ford still has a minor stake share with Mazda, but they've turned over the responsibility solely to the Japanese. (which is a good move).

:dead:Fam, a Nissan cargo van?
Sadly enough, I've never owned a vehicle that was worth more than $15,000. :snoop:
So no, I could not even buy that cargo van even if I wanted to. :snoop:
I don't front like some people here, talking about driving high-end luxury cars they've never owned.

What issues are you having?
1. Dam engine shut off on my coming up 5th street on south beach, likely I wasn't on the highway. Pulled over, started it back up and was fine. Took it in to the dealer, they didn't see anything. The manuals have had that issue but mine is auto, and the engine been running a little rough at idle since forever. That brand new 2.0 engine wasn't refined yet with the 2013 models.

2. The passenger seat heat warmer is broke from day 1 and the dam seat squeaks.

3. I went in asking them to check the spark plugs because I felt the engine was misfiring, they found nothing. Two weeks later I get a call telling me theres a recall for the spark plugs.

4. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing but GM has issued like 6 recalls in the last year.

5. Updates to the CUE system have been few and far between. Even getting them to acknowledge my system need an update was a hassle.

6. Other shyt I forgot.

could this be why there's a plethora of used, low mileage models going for next to nothing? :ohhh: (serious)

Damn breh. That sucks. I think #1 and #3 are probably related. How has the car been riding since the change of spark plugs? Did you get them changed yet?

That sucks to hear about the interior issue. Those sounds are irritating and can make cars feel faaaar less premium than they are supposed to be.

I've never liked the CUE system. I've heard it's been slow since the since the start, but it was supposedly upgraded in the latest CTS (I don't know if this was applied to other vehicles as well).

On a scale of 1 - 10 how satisfied are you, and are you thinking of getting another vehicle entirely?
