Best, Most Beloved, Most Hated, Underrated

For sports team you can think of. Best is obviously the best player. Most Beloved is the player who will always have the city’s adoration. Most Hated is the player you wish never got drafted, signed or traded to your team. Underrated is the player who never gets the props they deserve. Only rules are, player had to have played a minimum of 3 seasons for said team. Also, if your most beloved player is the same as your best player, try to choose a different player from that team that could fit the criteria.

Team: Chicago Bulls

Best: MJ. Arguably the best ATHLETE of all time.

Most Beloved: D-Rose. Hometown kid who became the youngest NBA MVP ever.

Most Hated: Carlos Boozer. The “prize” after missing out on James, Wade, Bosh, etc. Missed the beginning of his first season because he slipped in his house, and couldn’t play defense for shyt.

Underrated: Ben Gordon. People act like he wasn’t killing shyt with the clutch baskets. Averaged 20ppg multiple times. Even the coaches would disrespect him by bringing him off the bench after he earned a starting spot.

don't root for teams anymore but my old team will do:

Team: phoenix suns

Best: charles barkley. suns could never get over the hump, but that changed when chuck came and put the team on his back, the same back that failed him (among other things) the next two years. (runner up: steve nash)

Most Beloved: dan majerle. i ain't from phoenix, but well,, you know the deal. (runner up: steve nash)

Most Hated: stephon marbury...bout to up that other thread to sh!t on him too (runner up: robert sarver & his foam finger, part of the reason i'm no longer a fan)

Underrated: joe johnson. severely lowballed by b!tch@ss sarver. jj was a beast as the 4th/5th best player on the squad. (runner up: biased, but penny hardaway, cause he's largely responsible for the suns' only playoff series win between the barkley and nash years, kept the team afloat throughout other's injuries [and near deaths - true story], and actually outplayed kobe in the 2000 wcsf, essentially his last bit of true greatness).

Best: Reggie Miller

Beloved: Lance Stephenson

Hated: Monta Ellis even tho he didn't last 3 seasons here PG runner up cause he at least has NBA level skill.

Underrated: Mel Daniels

im gonna do borussia dortmund. so i can remember in soccer from the early 2000s on about and i started really following dortmund around like 05. i know club history before that but for some of these im biased to the times i lived in.
best: theres been a lot of incredibly skilled players i remember like lewandowski

mats hummels a great modern defender

of course auba the god

but all time i probably got to go with mattias sammer. a balon d'or winner and an incredible defensive midfielder to watch, even going back to watch old videos like i did. this video has everything he did in a european match in the 90s.

most loved:
easily dede. breh had 80,000 germans showing up to his farewell match

dede brehs. straight up beloved and he loved the whole club

underrated: i feel like mohammed zidan doesnt get remembered by most people like i look back on his time at dortmund. straight up having fun out there

hated: definitely somebody who left dortmund for schalke our biggest rivals. andreas moller got a lot of hate for this, felipe santana did it and called manager jurgen klopp stupid so it could be im too. a lot of dortmund players have left for bayern which is a way bigger club like lewandowski, hummels, gotze... many of our best players

best: bill russell. eightpeated, won 11, changed how we look at blocking and defense in the nba, stood up against racist cacs in boston... incredible man.
most beloved: all time probably bird but of players in my lifetime... i think KG because of how he was like the emotional core of the team. obviously pierce played there forever but something was just different with KG.
hated: ray allen. i always understood why he did what he did but no explanation is needed.
underrated: all time parrish is honestly kind of underrated. i also think avery bradley could use more credit.

Team: Knicks
Best: Walt Frazier
Most Beloved: Pat Ewing
Most hated: Joakim Noah, Phil Jackson
Underrated: Kurt Thomas, Knicks were no longer a playoff team after trading him. Still could defend well and rebound when he came back in his brief 2nd stint
Overrated: Oakley because some nikka said he should have his jersey retired before Carmelo

Best: Walter Payton. Top 5 RB of all time. Epitomized toughness.

Most Beloved: Since I can’t use the same player twice, I’ll say Ditka, even though I can’t stand that dude. City loves him though. Well, those white folks do anyway. They give him more props for that Super Bowl than anyone

Most Hated: fukking Chris Conte.

Underrated: Mike Brown. So many other great defenders you could choose from, but they’re either in the HOF or potentially HOF bound. Mike Brown was arguably our defensive leader, even when Urlacher was in his prime. Went from him, to Conte...

Team: Houston Rockets

Best: Hakeem “The Dreeeeeeeaaaaam” Olajuwon

Most Beloved: Calvin Murphy, the locals that watch Root Sports know why

Most Hated: Sir Charles Barkley. We practically handed over half our 2 peat championship roster to the Suns for him and he didn’t bring us shyt.

Underrated: Your choice between Mad Max, Mario Junkyard dog Elie, or Robert Horry

Best: Dwyane Wade
Honorable Mention: LeBron James
-For those who will argue this, dont kid yourself. LeBron was in Miami 4 years and he was the best player only for 2.5 of those years. Had the Heat won against the Mavericks, Wade would have been the finals MVP. He roasted every team we came across in the playoffs. LeBron didnt take over as the team's best player until midway through the second year.

Most Beloved: Dwyane Wade/Alonzo Mourning Honorable Mention: Steve Smith and Eddie Jones

Most hated: Michael Beasley - Wasted our highest ever draft pick on this bum by picking him #2

Most Underrated: Jamal Mashburn - His versatility brought so much to the table and he dominated in many of our playoff series. However he'll always be remembered for the one time he should have taken the shot and passed up on it.

Most Overrated: Bryan Grant - We gave him top dollar hoping to pair him with Zo. Zo then got sick. He played well his first year but then fizzled afterwards to the point where he was a throw-in in the Shaq trade
