The point is that you bringing up +/- in an attempt to build up or knock down a player is stupid if it produces results like the ones above. Nobody in basketball ever brings up +/- as a meaningful stat so you bringing it up to diss Rondo is useless.

Dude...do you lack basic reading comprehension skills? Real +/- and regular +/- are very different from each other.

Nobody uses it...except for former NBA consultants and Phoenix Suns statisticians. :comeon:

Right now the best point guards are

Curry
Westbrook
Cp3
Kyle Lowry
Conley
Wall

PG is pretty deep but I think they're ahead of everyone right now

I don't think Rose should be on the list right now for top 5. Neither should Parker or Rondo, as far as 2014

Act like CP3 wouldnt be swimming in final apperances of he didn't play on the West, brehs....At least CP3 played in the West when he had bad teams but Rondo is putting up awful stats in the East.

1. When CP3 demanded to be traded, he CHOSE to remain in the West and ultimately went to the Clippers. Moreover, you bringing up the West vs. East argument is stupid because when it comes to the playoffs, there are NO easy games. The playoffs are where the best teams battle. As has been pointed out before, CP3 has NO EXCUSE as to why he hasn't lead his team past the 2nd round of the playoffs at this point of his career. He's had a very good and constantly improving Clippers team for the past 4 years. He's NEVER had bad teams. Throughout his career, he's played with All-Stars (Tyson Chandler, David West, Peja Stojakovic, Blake Griffin) and excellent role players (Jamal Crawford, DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, Morris Peterson, James Posey). Plus, other PGs in the West have made it deeper in the playoffs with less (Deron in particular comes to mind).

2. How is a PG that puts up a league-best 10.8 assists per game, 7.6 rebounds per game (best for PGs), and 1.6 steals per game while leading the league in triple doubles on a bad Celtics team putting up "awful" stats? What world are you living in?

You focus on his scoring (8 points a game) and his bad FT% but no player is perfect. Rondo's good definitely outweighs his flaws. And we've already acknowledged ad nauseum that Rondo was never a great scorer to begin with and he doesn't look for his shot. Interestingly enough, however, he has no problem scoring in the playoffs and his playoff averages reflect this.

I swear y'all catch boners knocking Rondo's game.

I never said anything remotely close to that.

I said Wall is better than Rondo. Period. Nearly all of the metrics say so.

Not when both players are fully healthy. Not when Rondo has a decent team. And definitely not in the playoffs. Plus, Wall recently said Rondo is a better PG than him. But you conveniently overlook that.

So the league leader in assists isn't among the top 5 PGs? How does that even make sense?

You guys are still running with that? The Celtics could have won that championship with Rick Brunson running the point.

Rondo is being exposed this season and I'm upping this thread after every bad game from here on out.

Phil Jackson would disagree with you and I 'm sure he's in a much better position than you to comment. He called Rondo "the star" of Game 6 in the 2008 NBA Finals (the championship-clinching game). In that game, Rondo had 21 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 6 steals. Rondo also stood out in Game 2 of that same Finals with 4 points, 16 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block.

Al Jefferson would also disagree with you. His words: "A lot of guys say, 'Well, it was easy for him to be that point guard playing with three Hall of Famers. But to me, that should be hard, playing with three guys who had already established themselves in the Hall of Fame. And to go be a second-year player and win a championship with them, I think that was the hardest thing anybody could do. And he made it look easy. Being a point guard, you've got to please your guys. You've got to please the key guys. And sometimes, pleasing some guys and making the right play, you've got to tell other guys no. As a second-year player, to tell three guys who are future Hall of Famers no, that shows you what type of guts you have."

Hate on a championship-winning point guard who had a significant impact on the NBA Finals, brehs...
:heh:
