It's unjust to claim that Parker is overrated, when he has never gotten the credit he TRULY deserves - he's been without a doubt one of the most underrated players over the past decade.

:ehh: I'm not saying historically he's overrated, I just think the young guys right now are just better than he is. Steph, Wall, Kyrie. There's no doubt he's had some incredible moments though, specially the postseason. Right now what sticks out in my mind is 2013. I'd say if Ray ALlen doesn't sink that three, spurs don't become Kentucky at the free throw line, the rebound, etc. history would see him a different light. He hit some incredibly clutch shots down the stretch of that finals. How Miami dug their way out of that hole was absolutely mindblowing. I thought they were absolutely fukked.

Exactly and comparing TP on his final years to someone who just got going... People are funny.. He's been the QB of one of the most dominant teams over the past 12 years and people are picking Wall coming off 1 full year in and Rondo who misses triple doubles due to sub 10pt games?

If Wall wakes up in 10 years and has half the career TP had, hes a happy man. I am willing to bet he doesn't though

:whatyouwant:

Rondo looked very good tonight (13/15/7 on 50% shooting in 33 minutes). Almost had a triple double also. And the Celtics won.

Rondo in 23 games: 8.3 PPG/10.8 RPG/7.5 RPG/1.7 SPG on 40.5% shooting.

Lowry in 26 games: 19.6 PPG/7.8 APG/4.6 RPG/1.4 SPG on 43.9% shooting.

By the way, Rondo had screws removed from his left hand just a little over a month ago.

I prefer context.

Also, Kenny Smith said TONIGHT on NBATV that Rondo would make any and every team in the league better. He also said that Rondo could turn an 8th seed team into a a top 2 team in either conference. He further implied that Rondo is a better PG than Westbrook when he said that he would LOVE to see Rondo join to the OKC Thunder and take over the point. He also said that he would move Westbrook move to the 2 and let him focus on scoring. What Kenny said supports what I said initially about Westbrook (that he is a SG masquerading as a PG).
Your hero is about to be traded to the Mavericks.

The guy was exposed, this is what he is as the focal point of an offense. All his stats on the Mavs will look inflated now because he is playing with the German Gawd

Rondo is still a top 3 PG when he's healthy.

Even if he doesn't play for the Green, I appreciate his talent and everything he contributes to his team.

@Liquid , yo this PG Rondo dude...he had 29 points (on 12-19 shooting, with 5 3-pointers), 5 asts, 6 rebounds, and a steal and only 2 turnovers....and his team won....i think he's pretty good...likely an elite player...

:laff:

Your dumb ass spent almost half a season making excuses for Rondo, saying he isn't a scoring PG and that it shouldn't be used against him if he can't average double digits in scoring, as that's not what a PG is supposed to do. Then you have the nerve to come in here and post one of the very few good scoring games he's had this season as if it's not the exception and use it as an argument for him looking like an elite player.

And, despite this one good game, he's still one of the worst scorers in the league and one of the worst scorers at the starting PG position.

Should we got to his stats for the season to see this "elite player production" and compare him to the other elite PGs this season?

How come you didn't up this thread today?

2 points, 1-13 shooting and missed two free throws at the end of the game that could have won the Mavs the game in regulation. Lucky for him his team mates bailed him out in overtime.

Steph and John are the best 2 PGs in the game. The nod going to Steph though because of his offensive talents. John has better vision

edit: I've probably already said this before in this topic :snoop:
