Steph and John are the best 2 PGs in the game. The nod going to Steph though because of his offensive talents. John has better vision

edit: I've probably already said this before in this topic :snoop:

Wall is not better than CP3. The only thing Wall has over CP3 is athletic ability and on-ball defense.

CP3 has better vision, ball-handling, better scorer, is FAR less turnover prone, is a better playmaker, etc.

CP3 is slightly worse than he was last year and Wall is better so you might be mistaken but CP3 is putting up better or similar stats across the board, in a harder confrence, in slightly less minutes and has a better record to boot.

So how is Wall better?

Wall and CP3 have strengths and weaknesses that can be looked at with different viewpoints, but I lean towards Wall from just a pure basketball perspective.

the way he creates shots with aggressive drives to the basket, his court vision, and ability to control the tempo of the game is done better than how CP3 does, in my opinion. The main reason why is because of the fact that he's taller, and better at taking it to the basket, he can take a 7 footer to the basket and take over games with his physicality. He can choose to be a scoring point guard if he decides to flip that switch, because often times he's the best athlete on the floor. He creates opportunities because you truly are worried that he'll flip that switch and decide to put numbers on the board.

I prefer that to CP3's role as a game manager who needs to do a lot of dribbling and probing in order to get things done. He dictates every play of the game, and needs to play a 2 man game more often than not to be effective (pick-and-roll, give and go, etc.). Not to say that Wall doesn't do those things, but he doesn't need to rely on it. Also, it doesn't help that at his height and limited athleticism, he's a streaky shooter (doesn't affect Wall as much because he can just take you to the basket) and has overall hit a physical decline. Not to say CP3's way of doing things doesn't work, but I prefer Wall's style of play.

And by the way, CP3 is NOT a better scorer, Wall doesn't take many shots, but he can take over a game if he chooses to. Wall could be a 23/24 PPG scorer if that was how he decided to play, he's not as good of a shooter as CP3, but CP3's not that great of a shooter either. Wall has the athleticism (which essentially is the #1 reason I prefer Wall) to play the position to it's fullest, I simply don't think CP3 does at this point of his career.

But really, you could take either one you prefer, apples and oranges, I don't think one is overwhelmingly better than the other.

Tl;dr Wall is a better athlete that's why he's better than CP3 in my opinion

Kyrie :troll:
But for real though.... It's either John Wall or Westbrook :banderas:
There's a plethora of elite PGs in the L right now though :wow:
Curry, Conley (who's super underrated), CP3, Rose, Rondo, etc :ohlawd:

Rondo got hurt Yesterday, but what is his last 5 game log look like?

5.6 PPG, 4.8 rpg, 4.8 apg and shooting an amazing 50% from the free throw line...which actually bumps up his FT % for the season to just over 30%

This is your hero? A pass first PG who still averages 5 LESS APG than Wall over the last 5 and less overall all season?

I think Wall surpassed Chris Paul this season. He just controls the game so much better than he does.

You know, apart from Beal the Wizards aren't THAT good. He has Gortat playing better than he ever has...that is not a coincidence.

CP3 is putting up better stats, across the board, while the Clippers have the number one offense in the league.

CP3 is a much better scorer, better passer, better rebounder, and does this while playing less minutes than Wall and in the stacked West.

Again, Wall is phenomenal but CP3 is still better than Wall in most categories still except defense.

The clippers have the #1 offense because they have superior talent in multiple positions and basically have a starter caliber type player coming off the bench. I don't agree that CP3 is a better passer or rebounder. CP3 is a better scorer, but that's about it IMO. Even if Wall took as many shots as Paul, I still think Paul wins that with better range and more consistent.

@CarltonJunior broke Chris Paul pretty well and think its spot on. Wall is playing in a weak east, but his roster isn't really that good. Pierce is still contributing, but clearly past his prime. Gortat is a solid player, but has never played this well and that's because of his chemistry with Wall on the court. Nene can't be counted on. Beal is a star.

Based on their careers and their current individual play, who is the best PG in the NBA?

Choices:
1. Parker: 4 Rings, 1 Finals MVP, 6x All-Star, 4x All-NBA Team, 17p/6a/3r/1s (career)

2. Rondo: 1 Ring, 4x All-Star, 1 All-NBA Team, 4x All-Defensive Team, 2x Assists Leader, 11p/8a/5r/2s (career)

3. Paul: 7x All-Star, 6x All-NBA Team, 6x All-Defensive Team, 3x Assists Leader, 19p/10a/4r/2s (career)

4. Curry: 1x All-Star, 1x All-NBA Team, 20p/7a/4r/2s (career)

5. Rose: 1 MVP, 3x All-Star, Rookie of the Year, 1x All-NBA Team, 21p/7a/4r/1s (career)

These are the only choices; can't name any other PG.

Who's the best?
Boston basically just admitted that Dragic is better than your hero. How do you feel about this on this cold and snowy morning?
