Born Sinner. If you would've told me earlier in the year that J.Cole's album would be better than both Kanye West and Jay-Z's albums I would've laughed in your face. But the boy did his thing, I fukking love this album...

Next up I have to say 12 Reasons To Die. Excellent concept executed brilliantly by Ghostface and the Wu-Tang brethren. I've been listening more to the Brown tape version as of late but Adrian Younge did the damn thing...

Psychic World of Walter Reid owns this thread....

...Albert Einstein was a very, very nice surprise. Houdini P the professor of this rap science came good, and Alchemist...what more can I say man Alchemist did his thing, the production was on point. So I have this album as a close #2. And Born Sinner being third

Yeezus was trash and Magna Camel Holy Fail was pretty mediocre.

Haven't heard a project better than King Remembered in Time all year thus far

I'm boycotting Run the Jewels from any and all of my year best of lists as protest for having my yearly Killer Mike fix diluted with El-P verses...I tolerated them sega genesis sounding ass beats for sake of the better good (the pitchforks and trendy music sites and blogs of the day love that bullshyt apparently, and he got them to finally show Mike some love), but I gotta draw the line somewhere...if Mike gets gassed and forms a group with this dude full-time and I never get another Pledge album, maaaaan :damn:
