Cape for artists from the West who didn't sell a lot on the East, but discount artists from the East who didn't sell a lot on the West, because it's only "bias" when it comes to artists from the West, brehs.
Being that 1 of the 8 on the list rep the west,my response makes perfect sense. Clear bias.
Especially when the songs i said were snubbed, were made by artists whom did atleast a millie within a year of their projects dropping. Which means they were clearly hot and sold alot on a national level.
So my stance makes perfect sense.

Hiphop legend snoop dogg said they was bumping it in jail.
For the record U cant touch this was huge everywhere.

yea.

this idea that only casuals rock with super-mainstream music needs to stop.

i mean, I'm not saying hammer albums had the streets on lock, but if we're talking singles, these lists shouldn't be filled with album-cut guys.

i think drake is wack, and his albums aren't exactly burning up the streets, but when we talk singles, we cant snub him.

its not so much a knock against those east artists.

the issue is moreso that the artists from other regions of the same standing, don't get equal treatment.
not only that, but those 3rd tier east coast acts get priviledge passes over top flight rappers from other regions.

bone thugs n harmony literally got snubbed from the 1994 list in favor of O.C.
stuff like that is unacceptable.

So again... these words like "3rd tier" and "top flight"... has shyt to do with the actual songs...

Rob Base was a 3rd tier nikka at best, but he made a hell of a record that I'd put over songs by pretty much every top flight artist in '88.

Or to use a West Coast example, considering how their run panned out, the Luniz are/were '3rd tier' like a MF... does this not make "I Got 5 On It" any less a classic song? Nope.

Who the artist is ain't the point... if that was the case, a lot of shyt would be gettin' snubbed.

i thought we were talking about bias in general right there.

but yea, to get back on the road, that's whats going on in here.

O.C. "times up" over thuggish ruggish, foe tha luv of $, real Compton city gs

come clean & protect ya neck on the '93 list. nas halftime on the '92 list i dare you to act like those didn't get picked because its wutang & nas, and because jeru had a big east coast purist album.

you cant possibly make a '95 list without "5 on it". that's a no-brainer. that's like saying "I'm not racist, i have a black friend".

:heh: Breeeh... why are you actin' like "Come Clean" and "Protect Ya Neck" are songs nobody cared about, like they just came and went and had a lil' two-month run on 'Rap City' or some shyt... I know they didn't get as much love as the amazing "Whoomp There It Is" or whatever have you, but you on some Huey Dewey Louie shyt with that narrative right there. But you weren't there, so I understand.

here you go again.

I never said nobody cared about them. just saying that theyre not top 8 finalists. AND YOU KNOW THIS.

I never mentioned "whoomp there it is". but if it was the biggest hit that year, it should get an auto bid.
for '93, I mentioned "hip-hop hooray", "down with the king" and I lightweight mentioned chief rocka, streiht up menace, gotta get mine.
but of course, youre gonna ignore that and pretend that I'm in here trying to get "daisy dukes" in the tournament. typical DANJ.

also, I never said something had to be a huge hit. you didn't see me calling out "ill street blues", did you?

But you’re making it about yourself by posting a halfway list in each thread.

no I'm not.

I might mention a snub.

most people are doing more than that.
