Cali is way better in terms of education than #40 imo. We send so many kids to colleges everywhere more than we actually take out-of-state students.

Edit: I guess it's because of child healthcare, rate of insured children, water quality, etc.

Florida is #50 on affordability. Most of the red states are the least affordable
