So I recently got back into DJing and I'm using Mixtrack Pro 2 at the moment.
For software I got Serato DJ Intro which doesn't have a recording option. The more advanced Serato does but that upload costs over 100$ so for the moment I'm sticking with Intro.
I've seen people on line recording onto Audacity for their mixes. I tried that today but the sound was very distorted. I'm sure I can get around it and fix it but I'm wondering what the DJs in this forum use to record their mixes.
In a few months I will probably move onto a higher level of Serato but in the mean time, what do you guys use?

also a little more info about interfaces. There are cheaper ones out there that you can get for under 100$, they work good for recording samples, scratches, juggles, etc... but if you plan on recording a 20+ min mix out of serato, you will likely have dropouts and stutters that will fukk it up. So you need a firewire audio interface, which is a faster version that can handle that. they are expensive brand new. So unless you can find one cheap, you're probably better off getting a newer version of serato that can record.
