To be honest I grew up a Nintendo stan. Even though I owned ps1 N64 got my playtime 90% of the time. And even though I owned ps2 I by far loved my Xbox and GameCube more.
My favorite system of all time is dream cast.
I didnt even really fukk with Sony like that until ps3. The entire reason I purchased a ps3 (at launch) was because it played blu rays and I bought one of those Panasonic plasmas

those blu rays were so crisp
All my tastes in gaming just have happened to align with Sony the last 2 gens.
Though like I've said before I'm disappointed in ps4. The first party offerings have been mediocre at best. Even franchises I loved like kill zone and infamous had

entries on ps4.
Microsoft exclusives have never really interested me.
Dreamcast shaped my taste in gaming in a lot of ways. The way Sega just said fukk it and let their studios make whatever the fukk they wanted no matter how zany. They showed just how creative you could be in gaming if publishers let them. Microsoft had that with the first xbox. I loved that system. 360 they started chasing franchises.
If Microsoft suddenly started opening up more studios and giving them more freedom I'd be on board with them in a heartbeat.
I'm a Sony fan because I like Japanese games, niche games, etc. They simply have the best collection of the type of games I enjoy. Their variety is second to none.
Hell I defend ps plus not because it's sony but because I fukking love indie games. It's a great service because of that. For me.
But I'm never going to blindly defend whatever they do. They're really pissing me off.
