I'm voting for Beto

:hubie:
Well I'm trying to just start a gen thread on the race and general rumblings about our great state. Especially over the assault weapons issue if it's as much of a hot topic as it seems to be based on previous rspondents.

Beto has alot against him. Based on the generic midterm poll the GQP has a 10 point lead. Thats bigger than the tea party wave in 2010 which was a 3 point lead. So he is gonna run in a GQP wave. Secondly is the recent voter suppression laws that is gonna disenfranchise democratic cities in Texas. Thirdly democratic voter turnout is usually low when they are in power. And lastly like many has said before the gun quote he made in the democratic primary is gonna rile out the base and increase voter turnout for the GQP.

It’s basically going to come down to black turnout being high and

I hate to say it, but the Latinos on the border can’t simply be relied on to be Dem votes. Beto is going to have to hang out there and fight the Spanish misinformation campaign.

What a waste of time and money. The shyt he said about taking people guns has forever doomed him. And Republicans are stronger than ever under Biden's tenure.

If he wins I'd be surprised....that "hell yeah we're gonna take your guns" comment has probably doomed him in that state TBH

It's not like he can actually take their guns as Texas governor
He should just say that and Kim :russ:
Oh yeah he could have definitely just said something like that...nuanced...perhaps might have even gotten some "Ehhhhh I dunno" voters to give him the benefit of the doubt

But alas....like many of his type, he became a mark for himself, forgot that the red states in this country are nutty as fukk, and much like a baby Wildebeest attempting to parlay with a pride of Lions, failed miserably
