Jamie Foxx plays the same guy in every movie too. He got lucky with Ray because it was based of someone else but if he had to give life to the character and create a personality other than imitate, he would have came off as a blind jamie Foxx. Imho, Howard doesn't get that many diverse roles as Foxx because Foxx probably has more main stream appeal than Howard, especially currently. The only convincing role I saw Foxx in was that one where he played the cellist living in skid row, everything else has been jamie Foxx as someone else. Both of them need to be in more dramatic stories...

If we talking head to head movies based on what they have out now, I'd give it to Terrance. imo they both play the same roles over and over... If we talking about potential I have to go with Jamie, seeing as he can sing, dance, do comedy, freestyle, act, write and produce.
Its pretty wild to think about but JF has had top 50 songs and albums, done stand up, on multiple tv shows produces and writes songs and is an actor.
