Leo, Johnny likes to wear make-up to often, Leo has yet to play any of those kinds of roles yet (even tho he was going to be the riddler in tdkr) Even when he does play evil and twisted he doesnt need prosthetics either (shutter island, Django) So its

10 years ago, I would say Depp, with no hesitation. However, DiCaprio has put in performances like The Aviator, Blood Diamond, The Departed, CMIYC, Inception, etc in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, Depp has phoned in his performances the last couple of years. It's close. I'd probably still give the edge to Depp based on past performances, but not very much.

this is really tough. i think depp has the better career right now but he's been kind of stagnant in his roles and performance lately while leo has been stepping it up and beasting so i'll say dicaprio right now.
