There was a rapper called Seff The Gaffla in the Bay in the mid 90s.
He was down with JT. He was a member of the GLP like San Quinn...I'm sure nobody outside the bay knows who he is. He's who you guys are trying to say E-40 was. It would be silly to claim that he was the GOAT. But I wouldn't have a problem with someone saying he was better than any other artist...you'd just have to recognize that most people don't know who he is.

Breh, at one point short and 40 were the blueprint to being independent, hustling your own way up. A grip of rappers credited them with teaching them the game. But times change, just because there is a new generation in the game it doesn't erase the contributions people made for the previous generation.

I don't think it applies to artist vs. artist matchups though. that's why I gave the Seff example.
I don't mind anybody having opinions but it bewilders me somewhat when people will make hate threads or definitive sweeping statements about artists who's music they haven't really listened to. Like what is to be gained from that? It will constant dumb shyt and back and forth with no productive discussion or debate, if the music is listened to properly at least can be some civil discussions and interesting debates, but without knowing the artists work you're basically basing off bias and perceptions rather than your own knowledgable opinion.
