I just checked the singles discography. I've got issues with Billboard...but U & Dat peaked at #13 on the Billboard 100. So it was getting nationwide radio play.

40 has a platinum album and 3 gold albums. Name 100 rappers who were more "successful" in terms of record sales.
He had all his success between 93 and 97. His 2006 album went gold which is ok..but since then he has released like 8 albums that went triple almunimum. His best success was 20 years ago. Compare his sales to the shower amount of garbage he puts out and it's really not worth mentioning. Generally if he is known outside the West coast it's because of how bad his rap style is and most nikkas thinking to themselves " who listens to this dude ?"

So I'm trolling because I didn't get his exact years correct. I actually did him a favor by saying 93-97 when actually his success happen from 95-98. You arguing date techicalities and not the actually point that all his success minus one exception happen almost 20 years in the first years of his career
