this is the music game, and kanyes music will forever be praised as some of the best in rap.

It's all opinions, it's not hating at all. Plus there were categories, artists and MC's, the artist list was less than the mc's, your not saying Kanye is an elite rapper technically?
of course not. but like i said, this is the music game. Kanye makes music. and his is elite in rap. i dont care how its made but you know you getting fire when you see "KANYE WEST" on the cd.

But that's what I'm saying when I'm saying rapper/mc I'm speaking technically, when I said artists meant artists. So no it's not the music game if I specificy that, it's Hip Hop, rappin and lyrics means something too. Yes of course so does making dope music, but the two are separate convos, I mentioned some artists I feel are better on the whole, anyone free to disagree. But am allowed to express my views in regards to mc'in and artists that I feel are better, it's all good, like I said I don't hate Kanye, I respect and like some of his work and am a fan of some of it, i just don't view him as a Godly entity that can't be criticized or bettered. Hip Hop has had a lot of greats.

I get exactly where you are coming from, fact of the matter, is that this site is skewing younger, and they want to put the idols of their youth and sweep anything they weren't cognizant of as irrelevant. I think Kanye is a very good artist and I think he's put out some of the most impactful music of the decade. But people are trying to boost him up as an MC to put him with the GOATS and that is not so. Dude is a great producer, and a is a statement maker, but we can appreciate what he is without having to denegrate what came before.
Yes exactly, that's what I'm saying and that's why the authentic voice needs to speak too. They trying to dismiss all the true legends and pioneers and put some lower caliber artists they idolize on a pedestal and shift the boundaries, nah this is HIP HOP first, not the music INDUSTRY, or the fashion show, or none of that, HIP HOP. Yeah, like I said, I gave props to Kanye when I felt it due, but I'm not giving props when I don't feel it is due. As I'm a man not a stan.
