How does an artist manage to get so overrated? Is it a case of people buying into self hype, lack of knowledge about Hip Hop, brainwashing and manipulation, or due to fame? Or trying to idolize something they can't be? To make themselves feel better?
Very true, when you actually compare the music it isn't close. He isn't close to a lot of people. Calling the wrong people genius's, as MC's anyway, cause he's a good producer, even though I've recently discovered he didn't produce some of what I felt was his best beats.
