I agree Canibus is better than Pac as a technical lyricist even though his music was always wack to me....Not sure how you and @blackslash got into that discussion,i gotta go back and read the thread...I am confused why you don't put Eminem over Cube and Pac in the technical category though?makes me wonder if we got the same ideal of lyricism on a technical level

Id say the Canibus comparison is irrelevant with Pac bcuz we all know Pacs aim wasn't to be a super lyrical dude....the line kinda gets blurred with Kanye I think due to him being the protégé of one of the greatest lyricist of all time with Jay,and comin up in that Roc camp that was all straight lyrical nikkas,and also the nikkas in his camp have been beast....But I don't think being the most lyrical is his aim either,id compare him to Pac on the level weve send them deliver very technically dope verses at a high leve but its not the end all be all for either.

Difference is theres shyt with Pac like voice,alliteration,delivery,emotion,rawness that you cant dispute he's one of the best at that wow you on his classics....Cant say the same for Kanye....then when you get into content he don't do the deep shyt,real shyt,hard shyt,floss raps at a high level either....if you don't get absolutely moist over dudes production I don't see how you cant be left unfulfilled listening to Kanye...if you do then yeah he's very serviceable as a emcee I guess

I have no idea either. Out of nowhere he asks me who's better Aesop Rock or Pac, i said I'd never listened to Aesop Rock and he moved onto Canibus.

I don't rate Em that highly and don't think he does much that other emcees don't. I never really listened to him much though and prolly ain't heard a full track not including singles in years.

I'm not a Kanye hater, but I'm not a dikkrider, not gonna say something is great/dope if it's not, I've given Kanye credit on work and production that I've felt is dope, that isn't hate at all, it's objectivity.

2 Pac would be better than Kanye off of solely the Makaveli bootlegs, or solely off posthumous work.

Lol at classics by reviewers lol... that's not the credible way Hip Hop music is defined, most reviewers are awful. Kanye has zero classics, CD is a good album, 4 mics maybe, LR is decent/good, the rest are drop offs. 808's and Yeezus are legitimately two of the worst albums in Hip Hop history. MBDTF is probably the most overrated album in Hip Hop history, they don't even compare to 2 Pac's work. 2 Pac has a better flow, voice, content, lyrics, songmaking abilities, pretty much every attribute Pac is superior in. A lot of people are sheep certainly, this is pretty much fact. No-one credible feels Kanye >>>>> Pac.
