According to google NY has 8.6 million people and someone on city data told me the the current black percentage is 24% like @kingofnyc just posted with the US census data.

According to the math that would mean there are still over 2 million black folks in NY currently.

So one of you guys needs to explain what’s going on here.

:jbhmm:

I've already posted links which are from official Census sites. All that other stuff is splitting hairs and dancing around the fact that NY has a declining black population...

For the record, this bullet wasn't meant for you. You're generally logical, well-read, and neutral. My initial statement a few days ago was how idiotic it is for a New Yorker to call out blacks being a minority in LA, when blacks are also a shrinking minority in NY. There was no malice in my comment, which was provoked by mocking Black LA; and all I did was point out the irony...

We can have differences if opinion about where the better looking women are, which has devolved into juvenile banter here anywhere, but it is an empirical fact there aren't 2 million blacks in NY anymore, and the black population is in rapid decline. It's funny how when LA or Cali cats are clowned about what's going on out there, nothing anybody says is relevant, but when NY cats are in the same seat, guys look for any and every loophole...

And there's still nikkas on here with the (false) claim that NY gets hated on worse than Cali on here...

The links have been posted several times at this point g, if we're not talking from fact-based perspective and choosing to instead perpetuate juvenile name-calling and clown shyt, I'm about to exit this convo. Because I'm not degrading NY, the same thing happening to it this decade is happening to Chicago, St Louis, and a bunch of other cities, and has already happened at this level to LA--->which is still declining, bit has slowed to a point where increases will occur again in 10 years; LA viciously bled blacks from 1990-2009. It's getting better and on the verge of turning around now...

So this doesn't make me smile. But like I said, I'm about through with arguing with cats who just wanna respond ignorantly without reason or for likes...

people basically use their bias and image association with cities to inform who they think is finer, like the rust belt has a bunch of dumb fine sistas but Cleveland and Flint don't inspire glamour images so you never think of them being hotbeds.

Even if NY’s black % has dropped some, LA is under 10% black

While NYC is nearly a quarter black with nearly 2M black New Yorkers.

What kinda false equivalency is that? :dwillhuh:

The only equivalency made was that New York is losing blacks at the same rate LA lost in the '90s and '00s. The displacement of blacks is equivalent...

Nobody said they had equivalent black populations, "somebody" (you NY guys refuse to hold your own accountable besides @HarlemHottie) put a banana in the tailpipe spin to make you guys think anybody ever said the population base was equivalent...

But while we're on the subject of black populations in NY, if it's so relevant to point out that NY has more black people than LA (which no one has ever debated), it is also relevant to point out:

•NY has more black people than every other city as well, and is significantly less black than many cities;

•NY is on the Eastern Seaboard, which is where the TransAtlantic slave trade was introduced to the US, so it would be moronic to insinuate a false equivalency that LA should ever have as many blacks---->LA is younger, and is more disconnected, as a city from the origins of blacks to America. Of course it will have fewer blacks at pretty much any time ever;

•because LA is an international, global city, there are current and historical black communities throughout the city and adjacent "suburbs", so focusing only on the black percentage is nonsensical when the actual base population is still large...

All of these things can be, and are, as true as saying NY has the larger amount of blacks....

I’m a NYC native and I’ve spent a lot of time in LA over the years

it’s pretty close but the Caribbean women in NYC gives it the edge.

If you prefer light skinned bytches LA is the city to be in. NYC has way more variety

@ISO you're letting muhfukkas distract from the point, they doing this intentionally...

Also, let's not forget that to most people, black women in LA are more enticing than black women in NY. As I mentioned before, I've witnessed this in my personal life, and in real life, out of all the New Yorkers I've met and known, nobody has tried fighting this like they do on here. Nobody gives a fukk that there are "more" black women in NY, because there are also "more" in NY than in Houston, DC, and Atlanta, three cities consistently thought of as having more attractive cities than NY...

Not one person on here ever said there weren't attractive black women in NY....I didn't anyway, that would be false...

But the obvious disconnect online is that NYers consistently show a lack of humility and education on what happens in other places, where in the real world, despite being a small percentage base, people know that LA is GOAT-level for black women in America (and women in general). All the jokes and wisecracks are to detract from the fact that mainly only NYers think NY has the best looking black women if the two...

Everybody doesn't think LA is better, but more people will tell you LA has better looking sisters than NY than the other way around...

Atlanta, DC, Houston are thought of as more attractive cities than NY this is news to me :dwillhuh:

Atlanta and Houston are known for strip club culture. In NYC strippers can’t even get naked.

I can’t take the opinion of people who haven’t been to NYC and if they did don’t even know where to go seriously (not saying this is you) but it’s the majority of people on here

Like I’ve said it’s all a perception LA is seen as a warm weather city with women galore from a simple numbers game you should know that NY has a lot more black women and attracts more from the diaspora and therefore has a better chance of having better looking black women than anywhere else and a larger amount of good looking women

The only way to settle this would be to look at every single black woman from both cities and that’s impossible. :skip:

Nah I agree with you here, but that's the same as NYers (and others) on here who talk about LA but have either never been, or don't know where to be even if they did go. My guy @HaitianPattyFromNYC has been to LA, but he don't know where the real energy of Black LA is, so the shyt talking about the black experience in LA is the same as what cats do to NY...

But i agree with you, I try not to take the opinions of others in here seriously, but the consistent wisecracks about Cali are dumb. I'm from Sacramento but I consider myself kind of a pseudo-Angeleno, I went to school out there and I'm there pretty much once a year. LA is so misrepresented on online forums, not just this one, and really most of California is...

As far as other cities go, I lived in Atlanta, I'll pass on the women there. Charlotte legitimately gives Atlanta a run for its money, but still, to many other brothers, they think Atlanta is on the GOAT tier...

@murksiderock

What did you think of the women in Western New York?

Maaaaannnnn lol...

I was playing daddy to another nikka kids when I was in Western NY (mostly Elmira, then moved to Albany). This is 2011, 2012, I was with this girl for 11 months and she had 3 kids I was caring for...

I thought the women up there were surprisingly good looking, as in I didn't expect them to be. I was in Buffalo and Syracuse alot. I will say the overall black experience there seemed pretty disconnected. There was alot of closet racism in your face, and when pointed out to natives, they shrugged it off. After awhile I felt like the brothers and sisters up there were kinda dumb, just cool with being "tokens". It was a really outta body experience...

I had never messed with white women til I went there, and brothers in NYS glorified white women to a level I never personally experienced. Alot if the sisters were loud and lacked self-awareness, too. For both genders there's alot of pandering to NYC, cats were playing the shyt out of Jay/Alicia "New York" song, and I used to clown nikkas saying "you know they not talking bout yall in this song, right"? Lmao...but the actual culture of Central and Western NY, I think is more my speed. It was different as hell and I hated a lot of it while I was there, but that was mostly tied to the toxic relationship with the woman I was with majority of my time there...

In retrospect, I learned alot about myself living there, and overall I miss it and enjoy it. I almost moved to Buffalo in early '17, so I could live there if literally everything lined up...

Upstate NY is like rual uneducated "middle america" with a few ghettos sprinkled in. Blackness is not celebrated, you not going to see shyt like "curl fest" or much sharing of culture among different tribes with in the diaspora. i know black people from certain areas of westchester (which technically isnt even upstate) who have serious issues with their blackness. actual upstate is horrible
