It's not a fact most spin-offs fail. It's not a fact that most suck. Again, some of the most popular, critically acclaimed series in history were spin offs. There is nothing inherently good or bad about a spin-off.
I haven't the slightest idea whether or not this show will be good....neither do you....it's 10 months away from airing. They haven't even written one line of dialogue, do you realize how crazy you sound talking about "I bet this will be trash"?

i wonder if the premiere starts with him at jesse's trial.
It's actually a prequel. They said there will be scenes "after Breaking Bad" but Saul isn't a lawyer any more so he couldn't be Jesse's lawyer even if he wanted to. And I doubt he wants to, the last time he saw Jesse he pulled a gun on him.

Prequel ain't bad news though. They said Mike could be a major character and every other major character (Gus for example) could appear on the show. Obviously not every episode or anything, it's a new show after all not "Breaking Bad 2".
