Kanye himself would treat you like paparazzi if you actually picked him

Nas is a great rapper but a terrible terrible terrible artist whose albums on close inspection honestly sound like one long song, no versatility, no diversity and no appeal outside of the legacy he built off his debut released two decades ago
How the fukk does one rapper maintain a strong mainstream career for over 20 years by only putting out one good album? :dahell:

Do y'all read the shyt y'all type?

I swear to God Nas must be some sort of magician if his whole career survived this long off the strength of an album put out in 1994 :pachaha:

I've never heard of no shyt like that

No it isn't, and that's without counting that abomination Yeezus.
1. Yeezus was a great album that got great reviews
2. The previous 5 before that all got great reviews across the board
3. College Dropout and 808s and heartbreaks were game changers
4. The other albums were just as good/better, as evident in the reviews they got

not that reviews mean everything because they dont but they're great for measuring how other people felt about the album

Is this a serious fukking thread? Please tell me the OP is trolling :childplease:

iLLmatic along shyts on Kanyes' disco, and that dropped 20 years ago. Only thing Kanyes' albums have on Nas' is obviously the beats.

I listen to Kanye way more than I listen to Nas, but c'mon now.
Illmatic is the most boring album ever and Mbdtf is better than anything Nos has ever done or wished he could do

This is one of those questions where your first reaction is :what:"nygga are you serious?" but then when you really think about it you're :ohhh:
Nas' catalog isn't a great reflection of his talent imo. Kanye has him beat as far as consistency. Nas' highs are greater than Kanye's but his lows are pretty fukin terrible. and say what you will about Kanye but every album he's dropped has been on his terms and was a reflection of his vision. It Was Written, I Am, and Nastradamus was Nas caving in to commercial pressure. IWW was great because Nas' talent outweighed the fact that it wasn't coming from an honest place

Yeezus was trash. People only gave Kanye great reviews on that album were hipsters & Kanye stans.
College Dropout & 808's were NOT game changers, Kanye fans love to give him more credit than what he deserves. Yes, Kanye was a dope artist, but his last few projects have been lackluster.

The fact that people came in here and said that Ye is a better artist & SONGWRITER than Nas absolutely disgust me...

Given the fact that it is well known Ye didn't even write some of his shyt.

While Nas has penned down some of the greatest verses and most creative, unique conceptual records in hip hop history.

Created visual masterpieces while being held down by some of the best producers in the game (on his top albums of course)

You take away Illmatic from Nas' career and he's still one of the most influential artist to grace the genre.

You nikkas need to show some goddamn respect
