Since I was little kid when both albums was released I‘d give the edge to Guy besides they kinda created a whole new style of music. Make It was a great album but it was a traaditional R&B album.

Funny thing is I forgot holmes Name and Jacci McGee on Keith‘s album was kinda forgot about. In the Roger Trautman‘s daughter thread imagine how Jacci and The dude from Guy feel hearing their voices on the radio when they got fukked over.

:wow:, I can’t choose. I don’t care what early 90’s Ice Cube had said about New Jack Swing. Give me my late 80’s NJS fix

This was the song on this album. Im about to download this. Groove Me was a whole vibe but this good.

That‘s another reason why this Album was Better Groove Me was everywhere that year.

But this song was referenced in Slow Down the Dumb bytch line. First time I heard a R&B song cuss.

Both are timeless. I just ran Guy back this weekend cause I copped it on vinyl. Mf bangs now just as if it just came out last week. But that Keith album just jams different. "Right and a Wrong Way" and "How Deep Is Your Love" are STILL quiet storm staples and has been since the day it dropped. And that’s ill as fukk cause neither were ever released as proper singles.

Listening to both also makes me wonder how new jack swing isn’t even attempted by newer artists. Just listening to them joints put you in a good mood. Impossible to want to fight after cutting up to “Teddy’s Jam.”
