i'm gonna take kendrick for his greater relatability, versitility of flows (kendrick has almost everyone beat in this department) and for the fact that he's got multiple releases filled with dopeness
that beings said, if act II is ever released and it's close to what i imagine it as, this discussion could easily change. jay electronica, verse for verse, can compete with anyone in rap. his story is as captivating as his music
and while kendrick pushes boundaries in numerous ways, idk if he can touch the experimental side of jay. act I is a masterpiece, and he's plenty of other 10/10 tracks, departure, exhibit c, exhibit a, dear moleskin, shiny suit theory, the annoucement, dimethlytriptamine, dealing, victory in my clutches, the day, etc
to me exhibit c is the best song of the decade so far
