The disrespect the Coli has been showing to the superstars from the 80s and before is absurd and embarrassing.

We're comparing KD to Magic fukking Johnson?!?!?!? :mindblown:

This the clown shyt I'm talking about. If you put 2018 KD in 1988 he'd be seen as arguably the best player in the league. nikkas acting like we talking bout Demar Derozan in here. Calling this Magic Johnson disrespect is KD disrespect. :francis:

Why are you speaking like KD isn't one of the greatest players to play the game?

:usure:

It's not that he isn't (or won't be) but he still has a ways to go before he achieves what Magic did. Magic is the best PG of all time, full stop. Magic also outshined Kareem on the Lakers and is responsible for Kareem's last two rings. And we can compare career accomplishments between those two.

Plus, the way KD jumped ship from OKC to GS proves he isn't anywhere near the competitor that Magic was.

I'dsay we need to wait until KD's career is done with for a better-informed comparison.

The game was different back in the 80s though. It was a completely different era with different rules, restrictions, etc.

And, based on what we know about KD, one could argue that if you put him on the Lakers in the 80s, he would've jumped ship to the Celtics (joining Bird, Parish and McHale) in order to win chips. :yeshrug:

The Lakers were just as stacked as the Warriors, this that nostalgia shyt I'm talking about. Magic was playing with a top 2 player of all time damn near his entire career :rudy:

Technically, Durant might be better.

Magic will always be the bigger legend/icon.

Not in the sphere of contemporary consciousness.

Magic's a God

The Lakers were stacked but Magic (or really most of his superstar contemporaries) would've never jumped ship like KD did.

Kareem was out of his prime by the time Magic was coming into his own. Magic was arguably responsible for Kareem's past 2 rings.
