I really like the scale and layers of Westworld, and Counterpart has been great with the story and the dual performances so far this season. I might need to see the end of the S2 to be able to answer this fully
The episodes that featured Akecheta were really cool. Anything with old man William and Ford is top notch. The whole Maeve storyline went nowhere and, unfortunately, it made up the bulk of the season. Wouldn't call it terrible, but they definitely misfired with it.
Still haven't watched Counterpart. Guess I'm biased against shows on Starz. Most that I've seen were mediocre....though I did like the Spartacus stuff.
Westworld S1 to me is the best season of the four seasons, but Counterpart was great to begin with and actually got better. So I'll actually go with Westworld because the "high point" is higher, but "on average" Counterpart is better. I would say a higher peak beats consistency.
Counterpart... and I’ve never seen it. That’s how trash Westworld is. HBO was delusional af thinking THAT would be GoT’s successor. They even had the same composer make the theme song.
