But Wire had 5 versions

every time I hear the HBO opening with the tv static, I Expect to hear the sopranos theme to follow.

the Wire’s are great and I liked all the variations but The Sopranos takes the cake.

I see this a lot, and I agree....mostly due to the fact that it really does kick off after the static intro whereas on The Wire, you have cold opens before the opening credits roll.

Sopranos' theme is timeless and captured the show's mood regardless of whichever season it was in.
