I don't find the argument that if someone is successful then they are somehow beyond reproach from the community very convincing. Hell, Adolf Hitler was extremely successful. I actually believe the opposite of that argument; I feel that the most successful members of our community act as de facto leaders in a sense and so we should expect a certain value of character seeing as they are our representatives, rightly or wrongly. When they act in ways that are destructive to our community we have the right and frankly the obligation to speak on it.
