I swear some of y'all crab in a barrel ass nikkas would complain if Jesus and Muhammad walked the earth preaching black lives matter, talking about "they just trying to ride the wave" :martin:

Here is a Black Woman, the MOST successful artists of the past 15 years, saluting black excellence, championing her love for black features and representing black achievement, and it's a BAD thing :what: fukk outta here with that borderline c00nish bullshyt and defeatist mentality :camby:
STOP MAKING THANKSGIVING DINNERS OUT OF CRUMBS!!!! This shyt is trash, and I don't have to pretend to like this garbage!!! The fukk is wrong with some of y'all?!!?!? Beyonce isn't even black she's crayola!!! FOH!!

She's in the conversation. Whose been more successful than her the last 15 years? She's had some serious longevity. Been in the game since the late 90s.

Not to be a hater or anything, but sometimes I feel Beyonce tries to capitalize off of social movements. I remember a while back in Vogue or maybe Elle Magazine , she said racism was a thing of her parents generation. I don't know if she's changed or what. I don't know if she's doing an Azelia Banks or what.

But, I'll expect people to catch an aneurysm because I'm questioning Beyonce's motive in embracing her black roots and "empowering" us.

I guess I still see her as soulless, she doesn't have the genuineness of artists like Sam Cook, Pac, Nina Simone, etc

Something's just fake, opportunistic about her

But that's my opinion

She has sold over 118 million records as a solo artist,[9][10] and a further 60 million with Destiny's Child,[11][12] making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.[13][14] She has won 20 Grammy Awards and is the most nominated woman in the award's history. The Recording Industry Association of Americarecognized her as the Top Certified Artist in America during the 2000s decade.[15][16] In 2009, Billboardnamed her the Top Radio Songs Artist of the Decade,[17] the Top Female Artist of the 2000s and their Artist of the Millennium in 2011.[18][19]Timelisted her among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013 and 2014. Forbes magazine also listed her as the most powerful female musician of 2015.[20]

Cool video, I almost had to watch it on mute because it was a little cringe in the beginning.

I'm all for black excellence and black empowerment but when it's delivered in what
feels like a mediocre package, I'm left wondering if it was worth sliding into
the emperor's new clothes.

its crazy this is type music she have to do to stay on and get views but Adele out here making classic heart felt music thats breaking through cultures and gender
Man shut the fukk up. Adele is making the same music that Celine Dion made in the 90s. No one is selling. This album sold off the hype of the last one. The next one won't do nearly as well. Her second single is not even taking off so she had to stream it.

It's funny that people will criticize Beyonce for making songs like this. Katy Perry, Miley, etc. make turn-up songs and people don't say "they have to do that type of music to stay on". Both of them are white and still only sell a fraction of what Adele does sales wise.

Beyonce makes these types of songs because she understands it will create conversations and get people talking. If she dropped a soulful ballad, she'd still have people saying she makes soul-less music, but it wouldn't receive a fraction of the views. Beyonce breaks through cultures and genders because she's built a name for herself that allows her to do so. She can perform at Presidential Inagurations and a Superbowl. Can't say the same for Adele.
